The Makita LS1013 is a dual sliding compound miter saw that packs a huge amount of power into a compact machine. Using a horizontal double-rail system, both of which are self-cleaning and slide on linear ball bearings, the saw is incredibly stable. Because the bevel twists forty-five degrees in each direction, there is a huge range of cutting room and a great deal of versatility about which cuts can be done.

Saws Tools
As for sawing capacity, the Makita LS1013 has the capability to crosscut a 2x12 at 90 degrees, but the rather great feature comes in its depth capacity. Most saws are not able to cut a piece of 4x4 material, but this one can. That is incredibly handy if you're working with something such as a deck or cabinet. Because of the huge table on this saw, you will have the ability to make wide crosscuts, another feature that is highly useful. The Makita LS1013 bevels 52-degrees right and 47-degrees to the left with 9 positive stops on the bevel to allow for easy access to most often used miters, and there's even a miter lock with a screw handle.
It is imperative that the saw considers safety also, which is exactly what the Makita LS1013 does. There is a soft start and electric brake to ensure you know how to quickly and simply work the saw. The pivot fence makes it possible for you to support large stock or to flip it back for typical cuts, and there is a work clamp so that you have the capability to make accurate cuts on small materials without endangering your finger being sliced off by the blade. In addition, there's a depth-stop mechanism so that you're ready if you are forced to to make some quick cuts while at work, and a release safety button to pull out and lock the saw off when it's not in use while you are at home.
